Learn Java in Africa#

Here's a chance to visit South Africa. Get together a group of 6 or more to attend one of our courses in beautiful Knysna, and we'll do all the legwork, including travel bookings, accomodation, airport transfers, tours and entertainment, and - of course - some of the best Java and OO Design training in the world.

Knysna is the heart of the Garden Route, one of the most beautiful regions in the world. Some people claim that the Knysna has the 2nd best climate in the world (after Hawaii) boasting year-round warm, frost-free weather. Bring swimming gear!

Isn't it Expensive?#

You might think that having to add on travel and accomodation costs would make the training expensive, yes?

Not so! Numerous companies in Europe, the USA, Canada and Middle East have found - to their pleasant surprise - that they can send their developers on advanced Java, OO Design and Architecture courses at lower cost than the same courses offered in their home town. South Africa is (still) a relatively cheap travel destination prices in Euros and USD/CAD. (But avoid June/July 2010: we're hosting the 2010 Soccer World Cup, and, unless you're a diehard Soccer fan, it's likely not the best time to visit.)

So escape the Swedish winter. Take a week in the sun and take a break from the London rain. We'll be sure to include some weekend and leisure time, and we'll line up local tours and entertainment, too, with a personal, hands-on approach so that you can avoid the worst tourist traps and get into the "locals only" haunts that tourists usually don't get to see.

Of course we're also happy to arrange Knysna-based training for South African companies.

We suggest that you fly to Knysna over a weekend, (we'll get into specific suggestions when you contact us to arrange a course) enjoy a day or two seeing some sights, then join us for your course, followed by another day or two over the weekend before returning home in time for the next work-week.

Travel to Cape Town (and thence to George where we'll meet you) are an easy overnight 10 hour flight from most European centres.

One Course, or Two?#

Make the trip even more cost-effective: sign up for two courses back to back, and we'll organise something special over the weekend in the middle. We suggest combining OO Analysis and Design in one week, followed by PatternsOfOODesign the next.

Another great combination is Java5Upgrade followed by the JavaJediProgramme. Or, if you're already developing in Java5/6, start with the JavaJediProgramme, and see how it relates and intertwines with Design Patterns.

Java and OO training has never been this enticing! Contact us to start making the arrangements.

Please note that some courses are limited to a maximum number of participants to ensure maximum effective instructor/student interaction.
